PRACTICAL INFORMATION

General Information Note for Participants

The 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and related meetings will be held at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center, Türkiye, from 15 to 19 April 2026.

Registration and Assembly badges

Delegations are strongly encouraged to complete their online registration by 27 March 2026 via the registration link available on the Assembly webpage. On-site registration will be available as follows at the Registration Desk located in the Conference Center:

  • 09:00 to 18:00 on Monday, 13 April
  • 08:00 to 18:30 from Tuesday, 14 April to Sunday, 19 April

Flight Information Form

All delegations are requested to provide complete and accurate arrival, departure and accommodation details (hotel name, flight details, and dates/times of arrival and departure) to ipu152@tbmm.gov.tr by completing the flight information form.

Accommodation

Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation in Istanbul. The Host Parliament has designated several official hotels located near the Assembly venue. The list of official Assembly hotels and detailed information is as follows:

Shuttles

All delegations are requested to provide complete and accurate arrival, departure and accommodation details (hotel name, flight details, and dates/times of arrival and departure) to ipu152@tbmm.gov.tr by completing the flight information form. A Welcome Desk will be available at Istanbul International Airport from 12 to 14 April 2026. The Host Parliament will provide shuttle transportation for all delegates to/from the official hotels from 11 to 16 April upon their arrival, and from 19 to 21 April for their departure. Shuttle services will also be available from the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel, Intercontinental Istanbul Hotel, and The Marmara Hotel Taksim to the Conference Center, as well as to all official events throughout the duration of the Assembly. All other official hotels are less than 5 minutes walking distance from the Conference Center. Public transportation (metro and bus) and taxis are also available. Please find below information about public transportation between Istanbul Airport and the official hotels.

  • Metro Line M11: From Istanbul Airport, take the M11 line towards Gayrettepe station. At Gayrettepe, transfer to the M2 line towards Yenikapı station. Get off at Osmanbey station (M2 line) and you can reach the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center in 10 minutes by taxi. Participants staying at the Novotel Bomonti, Icon Hotel Bomonti, Buke Hotel Bomonti or The Mill Hotel Bomonti can also use this same route.
  • M11 and M2 lines operate from 06:00 to 24:00. You will need an Istanbulkart (public transportation card) to use the metro lines. These cards can be purchased and loaded with credit at dedicated vending machines located at the airport metro entrance.
  • Participants staying at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel, Intercontinental Istanbul Hotel and The Marmara Hotel Taksim can use the airport bus service "Havaist" to reach Taksim Square. The hotels are conveniently within walking distance of Taksim Square.
  • You can also take a taxi from Istanbul Airport to all official hotels.

Visa formalities

Some participants may be required to obtain a visa prior to entering Türkiye. Participants are kindly requested to contact the Diplomatic or Consular Mission of Türkiye in their respective countries as early as possible to secure the necessary entry visa. Participants whose countries do not have a resident Diplomatic or Consular Mission of Türkiye are kindly requested to contact ipu152@tbmm.gov.tr as early as possible to provide passport information. After such requests are received from participants, the necessary steps will be taken to facilitate the granting of a visa upon arrival at Istanbul Airport. All guests are kindly advised to ensure that their travel document/passport is valid for at least six months from the date of their arrival in Türkiye. Medical services

First-aid services and medical staff will be available at the Assembly venue. All medical services will be at the participant's own expense. Delegates under special medical treatment are advised to bring sufficient medication for the duration of their stay. The Secretariat of the Host Parliament must be informed as soon as possible of any specific medical or other requirements (such as dietary needs, allergies or limited mobility) so that the necessary precautions or arrangements can be made. This information may be provided during the online registration process. There are three referral hospitals: Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital, Taksim Training and Research Hospital, and Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital. These three hospitals will provide medical services in case of need during the event.
